Results of the Techtextil Russia Symposium 2011 Innovations, creative solutions, new ideas characterize all the events of Techtextil Russia that belong to the world-known brand Techtextil. Application areas of technical textiles and nonwoven materials are almost unlimited. This was illustrated during Techtextil Russia Symposium that took place on April 19-20, 2011 in "Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel". Plenary meeting opened the Symposium. Within this section representatives of key specialised associations, such as Union of Manufacturers of Nonwovens RITM, Russian-European Textile Alliance RETA, representatives of state and regional governmental bodies (Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Government of Ivanovo Region) and brand director of Techtextil Michael Jaenecke covered the latest tendencies and prospects of the development of technical textile market, talked about peculiarities of customs clearance in Russia, means of governmental support of the light industry, discussed cooperation between Russian and European technical textile producers as well as progress and prospects of technical textile production in Russia. The section devoted to Protective clothing PROTECH followed the plenary meeting. The moderator of the section was Mr. A. Magarik, editor in chief of "Technical textile" magazine, expert and author of the portal "Russian trade Marks Rus.TM". The second day of the Symposium was entirely devoted to geotextiles and geosynthetic materials. The Association of Producers of Geotextile Materials was the moderator and speaker of the section GEOTECH (geosynthetics - technical textiles, composite and geosynthetic materials). The Section was devoted to consolidation of best practices, production and application of technical textiles, geosynthetic and composite materials (industrial fabrics, nonwovens) in infrastructural branches of the Russian economy:
